  • There are 163 voter precincts.
  • There are 24 elected officials at the county level, 100 at the city level and 110 within the school districts.
  • In addition to conducting county wide elections the department contracts with over 110 local districts to include city, school, emergency service districts, road districts, and municipal utility districts to conduct their elections.
 
Voter ID

Following a court order signed on August 10, 2016, Texas voters now have additional ID options for voting in person. The Texas Secretary of State's Office has updated the new requirements on VoteTexas.gov and their agency website www.sos.state.tx.us.

Voting Order Priority
New law: An election officer may give voting priority to individuals with a mobility problem that substantially impairs the person's ability to move around.
