Wanda Ivicic Earns Professional Victims Assistance Coordinator Award

Wanda Ivicic, Williamson County Attorney chief victim assistance coordinator, was the recipient of the Professional Victim Assistance Coordinator Award from Texas District and County Attorney’s Association. ;Ms. Ivicic is one of only three victim assistants who achieved the recognition this year in the State of Texas.

The Professional Victim Assistance Coordinator recognition was established by the Texas District and County Attorney’s Association to recognize professionalism in Victim Assistance and is awarded to individuals who have provided a minimum of three year’s direct victim service for a prosecutor’s office and successfully completed at least 45 hours of approved victim services training.  All recipients must complete 45 hours of continuing legal training each year to maintain their status as a Professional Victim Assistance Coordinator.

Wanda Ivicic has successfully pursued a voluntary program for Texas prosecutor offices designed to recognize professionalism in prosecutor-based victim assistance. She has been with the Williamson County Attorney’s Office for more than 12 years. She has served as a victim assistance coordinator for eleven years working to support victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and DWI navigate the criminal justice system. Wanda also serves on the Texas District and County Attorney’s Association Victim Assistance Coordinator Board as the Region 8 Representative 2015-2017 and as Vice Chair of the Board 2016-2017.
