We can choose to pull inward, drawing the shawl tighter around us for comfort.

Or we can step up to fill both the voids and needs of others.

Without touch, but with compassion and desire we do for them that which they might not be able.

Without seeking more than their thankfulness, we serve.

And in the process we become stronger,

We become closer in heart and soul,

We become community, striving together to be better as one.

We will come thru this sharpened by adversity, heightened in creativity.

We will become more approachable while being more accepting.

We will each become champions, each in our own way.

A stronger peace will we hold to in our hearts.

A wiser brain letting our eyes see beyond the obvious.

And God will always be smiling as we navigate thru each day.
