Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, in observance of the Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Day holiday. While county offices are closed, it is highly recommended that residents consider utilizing the online services that are being offered in various departments. The next Commissioners Court meeting following the holiday is scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, at 9:30 a.m. in the courtroom on the second floor of the historic courthouse, located at 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown. 
 
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, located at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open on MLK Jr. Day from noon to 6 p.m. The shelter is having an adoption special that will run through Monday, January 17. Everyone's favorite WCRAS alumni-pup, Champ, was adopted two years ago, on January 13. We're celebrating Champ's Day with $2 adoptions for all medium/large adult dogs and adult cats when you schedule an appointment by emailing adoption@wilco.org. Come adopt the Champ of your life!
