Williamson County is no longer accepting names on its COVID-19 vaccine waitlist. The County sent the names of people remaining on its waitlist to their mass vaccine provider Curative to schedule their vaccination appointment. If you have not received an email for an appointment, residents wishing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine should schedule directly with the provider of their choice. Williamson County Extends the Due Date to Apply for Small Business Grant

In Williamson County, as of April 14, 166 applications were received for COVID-19 relief money through the Wilco Forward Phase 2 program, with 144 applications approved for a total of $979,000 distributed. Of the remaining 22 applications not yet approved, 8 are in progress and 14 were denied. In an effort to encourage more businesses to apply for a Wilco Forward grant, the application deadline has been extended to April 30, 2021. The Wilco Forward program is financed with CARES Act funds and offers financial assistance to food services such as restaurants, food trucks and caterers, bars, and hotels/motels that were financially impacted due to closures and occupancy restrictions due to COVID-19. In Wilco Forward Phase 2, a business can receive up to $500 per employee with a maximum amount of $10,000 if eligible. Businesses will need to provide documentation that they are eligible for the program and have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Williamson County Reduces Threshold to Apply for Small Business Grant Program

In Williamson County, 105 businesses have received an average of $6,559 each through Phase 2 of the County’s Wilco Forward Small Business Grant program financed with CARES Act funds. The program offers financial assistance to food services such as restaurants, food trucks and caterers, bars, and hotels/motels that were financially impacted due to closures and occupancy restrictions due to COVID-19. In order to increase eligibility in the program, today the Commissioners Court approved lowering the financial qualifications so that more businesses will be eligible. Williamson County Vaccine Providers to Begin Vaccinating All Adults

All adults in Texas who want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine will be eligible to be vaccinated starting Monday, March 29. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Expert Vaccine Allocation Panel recommended expanding the vaccination process to include any adult who wishes to get vaccinated and falls under the current Food and Drug Administration emergency use authorizations.
