Williamson County is hosting its Annual Learn to Fish Day in the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, located at 3005 CR 175, Leander, Texas on Saturday, May 6, from 8 a.m. to noon. Children of all ages will be able to spend time learning various fishing tips and techniques from local experts. The Learn to Fish Day event is free and open to the public.

A youth job fair for local high school students is being hosted by Williamson County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Evelyn McLean. The job fair is Monday, April 17, at the Georgetown Annex, 100 Wilco Way, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) is excited to announce its new Best Match Dog Adoption Program AND saving 99% of the animals brought to the shelter in February of 2023 – an incredibly difficult but amazing feat in a time of much struggle with capacity.
