Williamson County Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Coupland Road Project

Williamson County Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles was joined by Coupland Mayor Jack Piper and others for a ribbon cutting ceremony on improvements to S. Broad Street from Elliot Street to Muery Street and Muery Street from CR 277 to S. Broad Street in Coupland. The project consisted of replacing the existing two-lane 14’ wide asphalt pavement road with a two-lane, 20’ wide road with improved structural section (treated subgrade, flex base and hot mix asphalt).

“Coupland is a great community, and it is a pleasure to work with the community leaders to invest in their infrastructure,” said Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles “It was just wonderful to be part of a project that the community really needed to improve both safety and transportation.”

The design engineer for the project was CONSOR. The contractor was Chasco Constructors. Construction of the project was funded through the voter-approved 2019 Road Bond for $519,919.
