Applications Accepted for Williamson Central Appraisal District Appraisal Review Board

Applications are being accepted for Williamson County residents interested in serving on the Appraisal Review Board (ARB). The ARB hears appeals from property owners and determines protests for ad valorem tax purposes. To be eligible for appointment, an applicant must have been a Williamson county resident for two (2) years, and never have been employed by, or been an officer or director of the WCAD, along with other eligibility restrictions provided in Texas Property Tax Code Section 6.412.

The Cedar Park tax office will close temporarily due to a staffing shortage created by a COVID-19 outbreak among staff over the weekend.  The remaining staff will be assigned to work at other locations during the closure.

Williamson County and Waste Management are hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup Event on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail, Taylor. County and City Break Ground on Southwest Bypass Extension 31 August 2022

County and City Break Ground on Southwest Bypass Extension

Williamson County and the City of Georgetown celebrated the start of construction for the final segment of the Southwest Bypass with a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday. The project will extend the two-lane Southwest Bypass from Wolf Ranch Parkway to State Highway 29 and will also provide 1.2 miles of shared-use-path (SUP) along the extended road. The project is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2023.
