The puppies are blooming! In the past few days, more puppies than normal have been brought to the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS), and so the shelter is offering free adoptions for all adoptable dogs on Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8.

Interested adopters can preview all adoptable dogs at www.wilcopets.org. Then head up to the shelter to select a dog that will fit into your home and lifestyle through the Best Match program! Staff is eager to help you select your new furry best friend. Adoptions are free and include spay/neuter surgery, all age-appropriate vaccinations, a microchip that the shelter registers with your contact information, and a voucher for a free wellness exam at a participating veterinary clinic. This free special is valid for Friday and Saturday only, so don’t delay!

Not ready to commit? How about a Weekend Getaway foster? To take part in this fun new fostering opportunity, just head up to the shelter to select a dog that will fit in well in your home. Want to hike the Goodwater Loop? There are many dogs who would love to join you. Want a snuggle buddy to help you binge the latest series? Plenty of couch potatoes would enjoy spending their time with you in your home. Staff will sign you up as a foster and send you on your way for your Weekend Getaway.

Please note that the shelter will be closed on Sunday, April 9, for Easter, and will reopen with normal business hours on April 10.
