Williamson County Precinct 3 Commissioner Valerie Covey and Parks Director Russell Fishbeck were joined by others for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the installation of a new restroom at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park. The restroom is located at the parking area for the Jim Rodgers trail and disc golf course.

“Many people come to enjoy this park and take advantage of everything it has to offer, so we’re thrilled to open this additional restroom facility,” said Precinct 3 Commissioner Valerie Covey.  “It’s a beautiful park, especially with the disc golf right here near the trail. I’m really glad we had the opportunity to add this amenity.”

The project cost was $432,554.68. It was funded through the voter-approved 2019 Park Bond. Studio 16:19 is the planning consultant and Falkenberg Construction Co. is the contractor.

“This new restroom will be a great addition and much needed amenity for a large contingent of park users to this area of the park that play disc golf or access the Jim Rodgers Trail,” said Parks Director Russell Fishbeck. “We are grateful to voters for approving park bonds to make this facility possible.”
