Family Fun Day Celebrates Seniors

Families of all ages are invited to a free Family Fun Day filled with an afternoon of intergenerational activities held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the historic courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown.  Family Fun Day will give older adults and kids the opportunity to showcase their talents and teach those skills to younger and older generations. From 1 to 4 p.m., the public is invited to participate in ice cream making, fishing demonstrations, face painting, handcrafts, photo booth, woodworking demonstrations, games, dancing, and more! The Sun City Cloggers will perform in the historic courthouse, and tours of the courthouse will be held at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.

Sponsors of the event include Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area, Commissioner Cynthia Long, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, The Williamson Museum, Williamson County and Women Helping Others (WHO).

For more information, contact the office of Commissioner Cynthia Long at 512-260-4280 or email Tammy Smith at tsmith@wilco.org.
