County Holiday Hours
Williamson County offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday on December 25 and 26, 2017, as well as on January 1, 2018, for the New Year’s holiday. The Commissioners Court will not meet December 26, 2017, or on January 2, 2018. The first regularly scheduled meeting of 2017 will be on Tuesday, January 9, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on Christmas Day, and will be open New Year’s Eve 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed New Year’s Day. The Williamson County Landfill, 600 Landfill Road in Hutto, will accept Christmas trees for recycling December 26, 2017, through January 13, 2018, free of charge for Williamson County residents.  Flocked trees are not accepted for recycling. The landfill will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Call (512) 759-8881 for more information.

WilCo EMS Offers Car Seat Safety Inspection
Williamson County Emergency Medical Services will be  working in conjunction with St. David’s Round Rock Hospital and Baby  Earth to conduct a car safety seat and booster event for area residents  from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017.  The inspection  event is offered at no cost to participants and is available by appointment only. Williamson County EMS is pleased to announce the offering of American Heart Association CPR and First Aid classes.  These classes are open to anyone with a desire to learn how to save a life or act in a medical emergency.  The next classes will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Parks Master Plan Needs Your Input
Williamson County is updating its Comprehensive Parks Master Plan and is seeking input from the public. The first Comprehensive Park Master Plan was created in 2001 and was last updated in 2008. The plan helps set priorities for all county parks, trails, open spaces, nature preserves and natural areas and assists the county in obtaining grants. To take the survey, click this link.

Tax Statements to be Mailed the Week of October 16, 2017
Property Tax statements will be mailed the week of October 16, 2017, according to Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector Larry Gaddes. The County Tax Assessor/Collector's Office sends out tax bills on behalf of over 100 taxing entities in Williamson County.  If your taxes are escrowed, the statement will be mailed to your lender. Taxes may be paid by mail, online at www.wilco.org/propertytax/ or in person at any of the four tax office locations in Williamson County.
