Snowdon Receives Silent Hero Award

 

            September 14, 2004 (Georgetown, TX) – Williamson County employee Robert “Gabe” Snowdon, 911/Communications Department telecommunications operator, was awarded the Silent Hero Certificate of Achievement from the Commission on State Emergency Communications.  The award was announced at the Texas Emergency Number Association Conference held September 1, 2004, in Austin, Texas, and he received his certificate from Melissa Pogue, communications director, during Williamson County Commissioners Court Tuesday. 

            The Silent Hero Certificate of Achievement is given in recognition of exemplary conduct in the field of emergency telecommunications.  Snowdon was nominated for his professionalism that is a great example to others and his ability to remain calm and collected no matter how difficult or stressful a situation may be.
