VIVIAN WOOD BECOMES MEMBER OF POLICY ANALYSIS GROUP

September 1, 2004 (Georgetown, TX) -- Williamson County Treasurer Vivian L. Wood was nominated by her peers and accepted as a member of the Policy Analysis Group (PAG) facilitated by the Texas Association of Counties Governmental Relations Department.

PAG is composed of 30 elected and appointed county officials whose focus is on substantive issues that challenge local government in the 21st century.  PAG works on issues that will improve county government and that are beneficial to all county officials in Texas.  Each term of service in the PAG is usually a period of two years.

The Policy Analysis Group was authorized by the Texas Association of Counties’ Board of Directors in 1997 to explore local government and consider new paths to progress rather than always following the same old trails.  Texas Association of Counties was created by elected county officials in 1969 to assist county government in presenting a unified voice in the Texas Legislature.
