The Williamson County Commissioners Court will not be meeting on Tuesday, September 27. Their next meeting will be on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. on the second floor of the historic courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Texas.

Williamson County has received its order of printed marriage licenses and is able to issue them again. For more information on what is needed to apply for a marriage license, go to the County Clerk’s website.

September is National Preparedness Month (NPM) in Williamson County. This month, we all should take action to prepare for the types of emergencies that could affect us where we live, work, and also where we visit. This year’s theme “Don’t Wait, Communicate” emphasizes talking with your family members about developing an emergency communications plan. Use the attached document to help your family develop a plan on how to communicate during a disaster.

Portions of the Jim Rodgers Trail in the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, 3005 C.R. 175, will be closed weekdays from now through February due to a Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project. Portions of the trail will be temporarily closed for visitor safety while the work is being conducted.

Tax Rate

Williamson County adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 5.87 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $14.93.
