Williamson County received just 33 responses to its online survey regarding the proposed landfill Master Recycling and Site Development plans. In addition, the County received 10 written statements with comments. Overarching trends in survey responses include that 100 percent stated that recycling is very or somewhat important, and 85 percent were very or somewhat supportive of improving safety and traffic flow at the landfill and recycling drop-off center.

Re: Responses Support Recycling and Safety
Please re-open the survey, as it is obviously not valid with the insufficient number of responses.

Re: Responses Support Recycling and Safety
The survey was not intended to be a statistically valid survey of all the people who live in the county or all the people who live in Hutto. This was an opportunity for people to share their opinions on the two plans if they have an interest in this topic. Surveys and comments were accepted for 30 days, with most responses sent within a week of the Open House on June 8. If you would like an opportunity to comment, you can send me an email at publicinformation@wilco.org. Connie Watson, Williamson County Public Affairs Manager
