The Williamson County Sheriff’s Citizen Academy is a 40 hour program designed to give the citizens of Williamson County a working knowledge of the Williamson Sheriff’s Office and the criminal justice system. The primary objective of the academy is to foster community relationships and to build a better understanding between citizens and the Sheriff’s Office through education. Classes will begin on Wednesday, May 3rd from 7:00pm until 10:00pm and will continue for 13 weeks. Participants will learn day to day operations of the Sheriff’s Office, get a tour of the correctional system, a ride along with a patrol deputy and a chance to participate in hands on training. This class is limited to 20 participates

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Reside or work in Williamson County
  • Fill out an application and consent to a background check
