Community Outreach

The Williamson County Sherriff’s Office is looking for young people age 11 - 14 years old that reside in Williamson County and have an interest in law enforcement. The cadets will investigate mock crime scenes collect evidence, tour the sheriff’s office and county jail, receive first aid training and CPR, hands on with advanced tactical equipment and self-defense techniques. .

Classes will begin July 18th. Drop off times are 8:00am to 8:30am in front of the Sheriff’s Office at

                                                         508 Rock St , Georgetown TX.    Pick up time is 5:00pm.

Classes will end July 21st with a graduation ceremony at 4:00pm. Pick up at 5:00pm.

Class is limited to 15 students.

There is no cost for the program.

Students will need to bring their lunch each day.

A refillable water bottle is recommended.

Please dress reasonable. Nothing with any offensive language or signs. Students may get a little dirty and/ or sweaty. The training room generally stays cool. A jacket is also suggested. 

Requirements:

  • Must be 11 - 14  years of age 
  • Reside in Williamson County
  • Fill out an application and Junior Release form
