The junior cadets investigate mock crime scenes, collect evidence, tour the Sheriff's Office and County Jail, receive first aid and CPR training.  They also have hands on experience with advanced tactical equipment and self-defense techniques.

 
WCSO Explorers

The Willilamson County Sheriff's Explorer program acquaints young adults with the field of law enforcement as a future career choice along with life skills, citizenship, character education and leadership experience.

 

D.A.R.E

Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) is an education program that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior. Visit www.dare.org

Citizens Academy

The Sheriff’s Citizens Academy is an approximately 20-hour program designed to give the citizens of Williamson County a working knowledge of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office and the criminal justice system in our county. The primary objective of the Academy is to foster community relationships and to build a better understanding between citizens and the Sheriff's Office through education.
