How do I make reservation for a pavilion or field?

Please call Parks Department HQ at 512-943-1920, or make a reservation request online at www.parks.wilco.org

Does Williamson County Parks have indoor facilities for rent?

No

Does the reservation include a deposit?

No, Williamson County only charges a facility use fee. 

What is the refund policy?

To receive a refund, a reservation cancellation must occur 14 days prior to the event date. Some administrative fees may apply. Onsite park staff will make the refund determination if extreme weather occurs on the day of your event.

Can I have a bounce house, trackless train, ect. at my pavilion rental?

Please contact Parks Department HQ for more information 512-943-1920 on these special considerations.
 
Parks

When are parks open?

Parks are open year-round (weather permitting) from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Berry Springs Park & Preserve is open year round from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., except for registered overnight guests.

Where can I get directions to the parks?

Addresses and directions are on the website.
 
Pets/Animals

Can I bring my pet to a Williamson County Park or trail?

 Yes.  County Regulations require pets to be on a leash at all times. Only service animals are allowed at the Quarry Splash Pad.

Where can I ride my horses?

Berry Springs Park & Preserve offers equestrian opportunities, however all riders must be certified by the Park Manager.

Can I have petting zoos or pony rides at my pavilion rental?

Due to health and safety concerns, petting zoos and pony rides are not permitted in Williamson County Park locations.
 
Fields

When do I need to reserve a softball, soccer and/or football field?

To ensure proper resource management, field use is limited to 15 hours per week. Reservations are required when field use becomes an organized activity.

Are fields still available for use when it rains?

 Please contact the Rain-out phone number at 512-943-3366 for updated field conditions.
 
Trails

Can I host a 5K at a Williamson County Park or on the Brushy Creek Regional Trail?

 Please contact Parks Department HQ at 512-943-1920 for more information.

Can I use a Segway or an electric bicycle on trails?

Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the Williamson County Parks and Trails. Exceptions are made for differently abled visitors who require use of motorized wheel chairs.
 
Camping

Can I bring my RV to your campground?

The Berry Springs Park & Preserve campground is for tent camping only.

How many people can I have at a campsite?

Eight

Can I bring my pet to the campground?

Yes. County Regulations require pets to be on a leash at all times.  

How many campsites are at the campground at Berry Springs Park and Preserve?

We have 16 improved campsites and 10 primitive campsites.

How long can I stay at the campground?

There is a 14 day limit per stay, per month. Please contact the Parks Department HQ for further information.

Do I need a reservation to camp?

Reservation are highly recommended, but not required.

How much does it cost to camp?

$15 per site, per night for improved camp sites ( site #2 is a double site and the cost is $25 per night). $6 per site, per night for primitive camping. 

Is firewood available at the campground?

Yes

When can I check in to my campsite?

Check-in is at 2 p.m.; check-out is at 12 noon.
 
Track

Can I take my stroller/wagon/bike on the track?

No, the wheels will damage the track surface.    
 
Commercial Use

Can I use the parks for my private business?

Instructors, trainers, professional photographers, and any others who wish to use parks and trails for private business ventures must adhere to the Commercial Use Policy.  Please contact Park Management for further information.
 
Misc.

How do I know if a field or park is open for use?

You can always call the Rain-out/facility availability number at 512-943-3366 for updated field and facility conditions.

Can I use a metal detector at any of the Williamson County Parks?

 No. Parks and trails are regulated by the Antiquities Code of Texas.  As such any unauthorized digging is prohibited by law.

Can I fly a model plane at any Williamson County Parks?

Model planes are allowed at the Southwest Williamson County Park; electric engines only. Call Parks Department HQ at 512-943-1920 for flight location.

Can I launch rockets at the park?

Rockets cannot be launched on Williamson County Parks or Trails.

Can I have fireworks and/or sparklers at the park?

Fireworks are not permitted at Williamson County Parks and Trails.

Can I fly a drone at any Williamson County Park?

Drones are not permitted at Williamson County Parks and Trails.

Can we feed the donkeys at Berry Springs Park?

Yes, but please keep treats to one small carrot or piece of apple per child. The donkeys need to watch their health.
