Williamson County Emergency Medical Services and Taylor ISD Family Services will be conducting a car seat safety event by appointment for area residents on Thursday, February 23, from 1:00p.m to 3:30p.m in the parking lot of the Jesus Christ Church of Latter-day Saints located at 2800 North Drive, Taylor, TX.   The program is sponsored by Texans In Motion at Scott & White Healthcare.  Funding for the Texans In Motion at Scott & White Healthcare project is provided, in part, by the Texas Department of Transportation.

Children will need to be with the parent or other adult caregiver during the inspection.  Items should be cleared from the vehicle in order to allow technicians access to the child safety seats.  If a car seat is found to be outdated or not meeting child safety seat standards, it may need to be replaced.

Safety seat checks are planned on a regular basis throughout Williamson County.  To make an appointment for the February 23 event, please call Taylor ISD Family Services at 512-352-3910, ask for John, before noon on Tuesday, February 21.  To learn about future events, contact Texans In Motion at Scott & White Healthcare at 512-336-3423 and 512-509-0200.
