County Offices Will Close for Memorial Day
Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day. All county operations will resume their regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

May 19 Bark-n-Purr Fest to Benefit WCRAS
Plan to enjoy a day of fun activities, take advantage of low cost vaccinations at the onsite pet care clinic, and check out adoptable animals from several area animal rescue groups at the Bark-n-Purr Fest. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, 1855 SE Inner Loop, in Georgetown, Texas. Cycle Enthusiasts Encouraged to Bike to Work on May 18
The WilCo Wellness Alliance is hosting a Bike to Work event on Friday, May 18, for the City of Georgetown and surrounding communities. Riders will be asked to register and fill out a short survey form to participate. Onsite registration will take place from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the historic Courthouse on the square or the NE corner of the intersection of River Bend and Dawn Drive. Register Now for Gone To Texas! July Explorers History Camp
Space is available for fun, week-long hands-on learning activities at the Williamson Museum this summer! Campers investigate why and how people migrated to Texas from pre-historic times to modern day. The Gone To Texas! Explorers Camp will incorporate the music, art, games and other traditions each group brought with them. Museum members get a discount on registration fees. WCRAS Seeks New Foster Families
Foster families are needed to care for dozens of new kittens and large numbers of dogs arriving daily at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS). The shelter reminds pet owners who may have lost a dog or cat to check all area shelters and pick them up as soon as possible. Due to the increasing number of intakes making for overcrowded conditions, fostering a pet can and will save many lives.
