Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, Bill Gravell Jr.

Judge Bill Gravell was elected March 4, 2014 as Justice of the Peace for Williamson County Pct. #3.  Bill was sworn into his first full term on         January 1, 2015.  Judge Bill Gravell currently serves as President of the Central Texas chapter of the Justice of the Peace and Constables Association of Texas.

Judge Bill Gravell has an expansive sphere of experience that qualifies him to serve in his position.  For the last 30 years of his professional life Judge Gravell has been involved in ministry. He spent twenty-two years as a Pastor of Sonterra Fellowship in Jarrell.  Through pastoring, Judge Gravell has spent countless hours listening to the needs of the people and offering advice.  Judge Bill Gravell recalls the vitally important role our community played in shaping who he is today. He wants to help provide that same strong guidance he received as a teen back to our community.  As Justice of the Peace he has created a mentoring program for kids who are on the wrong side of the law.

Judge Bill Gravell believes it is of utmost importance he give his time to help make our community prosperous, safe and a great place to live.  During this time in Jarrell, he served on the School Bond Advisory Committee, Jarrell Road and Bridge Committee, was appointed to ESD #5 by the Commissioners Court, was President of the Sonterra Home Owners Association and has been a mentor for students in elementary schools.

The Williamson County JP3 Teen Court just finished our 2nd successful season with an average of 20 student volunteers each court session. Along with the students who fill every aspect of the court staffing, we also have court and legal professionals that assist in training. Over the course of this school year we handled 62 cases serving the students of Williamson County. The student volunteers did such an outstanding job that several of the defendants joined us after their cases had been dismissed. If you are interested in becoming a part of the JP3 Teen Court and would like more information, please contact the Teen Court Coordinator at 512-943-1594.
