Judge Staudt is originally from Austin, married with six children and nine grandchildren.  Her desire to serve the families of Williamson County led her to run for office in 1994.  She has served diligently since that time.  In addition, she has served on numerous boards, including the Williamson County Jail Bond Board, Child Fatality Review Team, Safe and Drug Free Schools Committee, Agape Pregnancy Resource Center, YMCA of Twin Lakes, Central Texas Justice of the Peace and Constable Association, and Hope Connections Pregnancy Resource Center of Leander.  She is also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce in Cedar Park, Leander, and Liberty Hill.  She attends The Journey Bible Fellowship in Cedar Park where she and her husband assist with music.

She partnered with the Greater Williamson County /YMCA  in 1997 to create the first Teen Court program in Williamson County that serves any student willing to learn the Judicial System. This leadership program has provided defendants the opportunity to keep their criminal record clear of convictions.
