NOTICE OF REALLOCATION OF FUNDING
Notice of Public hearing
Williamson County has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding allocation of $1,096,069 to successfully support community development and affordable housing efforts for low and moderate-income areas throughout the County. On June 3, 2008 Williamson County Commissioner’s Court approved the First Draft 2008 Action Plan, which outlines proposed projects for the program. In accordance with HUD regulations, the County encourages public participation to review and comment on the proposed projects; individual comments and responses will be included in the planning document. The proposed plan is available for review from June 6, 2008 – July 7, 2008 at the following locations:
Williamson County Courthouse
City Halls and Public Libraries of the following:
City of Georgetown
City of Jarrell
City of Liberty Hill
City of Taylor
The County Commissioners will review and consider all comments regarding the FY2008 Action Plan. Approval of the complete CDBG Action Plan will be requested at the July 8, 2008 Commissioner’s Court meeting followed by a second 30 day review and comment period.
Williamson County will also reallocate funds previously awarded to the following projects:
City of Cedar Park FY06 $53,000
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Georgetown FY06 $20,000
City of Cedar Park FY07 $131,600
City of Thrall FY07 $128,000
Projects are unable to utilize allocated funds at this time.
A public hearing will be held by the Williamson County CDBG office on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 6pm at the Williamson County Central Maintenance Facility located at 3151 S. E. Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain comments regarding the FY08 CDBG proposed projects. Comments and concerns will be considered in the development of the 2008 CDBG Action Plan, which describes how funds will be utilized.
