Due to the changes in the US Congressional Districts and the State House Districts ordered by the Federal Courts for the entire state of Texas, Williamson County’s adopted Voting Precincts plan must be modified to comply with the new maps.

Therefore, the Redistricting Committee has met and made a draft map of the Voting Precincts that complies with the Federal Court map with the least amount of changes as feasible. This will be presented to the Commissioner’s Court for consideration on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 (the deadline for approval).

If approved by the Commissioner's Court, this map will replace the Voting Precincts Map adopted in September. The new maps will still take effect on January 1, 2012.

In July 2011, Williamson County Commissioner's Court formally approved the new Commissioner, Justice of the Peace, and Constable Precincts as a result of 2010 Redistricting effort. The first map shows newly adopted precincts adopted July 26, 2011 and voting precincts adopted September 27, 2011.  All changes must be submitted to the US Department of Justice for preclearance and will not be effective until January 1, 2012.  The second map shows changes to the existing (current) precincts, with the adopted changes identified.
