The reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in City of Jarrell at the rate of one-fourth percent (1/4%) to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets.

Shall Article IV,Section 4.03(f), of the City         Charterbe amended to provide that council will appoint members to boards andcommissions after receiving a recommendation from the board selectioncommittee?

 

PROPOSITION 2                                                                       Filing Fee and Petition Requirements

 

Shall Article V,Section 5.05, of the City Charter be amended to provide that candidates forcity council shall pay a filing fee, or file a petition in lieu thereof, asrequired by an ordinance that  is notinconsistent with state law?

 

PROPOSITION 3
Candidate for More than One Office inElections Held on Same Date

 

Shall Article V,Section 5.05(b), of the City Charter be amended to provide that no candidatefor office may be a candidate for more than one office or place in an election,or elections, that will be held on the same date?

 

PROPOSITION 4                                                                       Ballot on Measures

 

Shall Article V, Section 5.07(d), of the City Charter beamended to provide that voters shall cast their ballot on measures in themanner prescribed by the ballot or voting system used in the election?

 

PROPOSITION 5                                                                       Notice to Persons Filing Petitions

 

ShallArticle VI, Section 6.07, of the City Charter be amended to clarify and restatethe duty of the City Secretary to give timely notice of the sufficiency or insufficiencyof initiative, referendum and recall petitions?

 

PROPOSITION 6

PoliceDepartment

 

Shall Article VII, Section 7.06, ofthe City Charter be amended to clarify that, the city manager may review theannual employee evaluations of all police officers, and is not required tosubmit all such evaluations to the city council.

PlanningCommission

 

Shall Article X, Section 10.04, ofthe City Charter be amended to delete the requirement that each member of theCity Council shall nominate one member of the Planning Commission?

EthicsCommission

 

Shall Article XII, Section 12.01, ofthe City Charter be amended to delete the requirement that each member of theCity Council shall appoint one member of the Ethics Commission?

Confirming Creationof the District

The issuance of$31,250,000 bonds to provide a waterworks system, sanitary sewer system, and adrainage and storm sewer system for the district and the costs of the creation,administration and operation of the district and the levy of taxes in paymentof the bonds

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PROPOSITION 3

 

The issuance of$31,250,000 refunding bonds for the purpose of refunding any bonds of thedistrict and the levy of taxes in payment of the refunding bonds.

 

 

PROPOSITION 4

 

An operation andmaintenance tax not to exceed one dollar ($1.00) per one hundred dollars ($100)valuation of taxable property.
