Williamson County is one of the nation's fastest growing counties, and a number of our cities have been named some of the nation’s top places to live. Our population is just under 500,000 and US census estimates that to more than double by 2025.
Schools
We have several distinguished and award-winning school districts in Williamson County. Among them are Georgetown ISD, Jarrell ISD, Leander ISD, Liberty Hill ISD, Round Rock ISD and Taylor ISD. Cities are constantly adding new schools in their Independent School Districts to keep up with population growth.

There are many opportunities for you and your family to enjoy a day of fun that are all within a 1 hour drive from Georgetown, and many are within the county itself. There are accessable lakes in Georgetown, Granger and Austin, as well as several hike and bike trails, and easy access to the Texas Hill Country. Within the County we have Texas Stars Hockey, Round Rock Express AAA (Texas Rangers) Baseball team, Inner Space Caverns and more.
Medical Facilities
Some of the most advanced medical facilities are located within Williamson County. Currently we have 6 local hospitals, two of which are designated trauma centers and 3 hosting comprehensive cardiovascular and stroke centers.
