I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for considering Williamson County Emergency Medical Services for employment. As the Deputy Director I am pleased to invite you to be come part of our team. I think you will find Williamson County EMS a great place to practice the highest quality of pre-hospital care in an environment that is education based, clinically focused and customer service directed. You will have the opportunity to work with a progressive Medical Director who once worked here as a paramedic. Dr. Jarvis is a practicing emergency physician who is associated with the Texas A&M Health Science Center. I encourage you to take some time and investigate our competitive salary as well as an astronomically good retirement and benefits package. We offer some of the lowest cost for comprehensive employee and family health care as well as long term disability and life insurance. You will also enjoy robust paid vacation, holiday, and sick leave.
Williamson County EMS is rapidly growing and expanding. We are the 911 provider for all emergency calls within the entire county. We currently have 16 MICU’s stationed through out the 1100 sq. mile County concentrating resources in Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Taylor, Leander, and surrounding areas. We currently have six hospitals in the greater Williamson County area. These facilities include two Level II trauma centers, three cardiac PCI intensive care centers and three Primary Stroke Centers. Private ambulance services provide the majority of the non emergency transports and we provide emergent transfers between hospitals. We practice clinically focused pre-hospital care supported by clinical research. I think you will find our equipment and vehicles to be top of the line including a "paper-less" electronic patient care reporting system and new Computer Aided Dispatch system. Our Code STEMI protocol is aggressive and we require our medics to recognize and make the call to activate cardiac catheterization labs. We currently do not transmit ECGs. If you have the opportunity, I hope you will visit with one of our team members or contact me directly if you have any questions about our system. I wish you tremendous luck with your Paramedic career and I look forward to having you on our team.
