The Environmental Division is responsible for the enforcement of environmental laws within Williamson County.  These laws include Illegal Dumping, violations of Outdoor Burning Rules, violations involving Public Nuisances, and violations involving Hazardous Materials.  The Environmental Division is an active member of the Capitol Area Council of Governments Regional Solid Waste Task Force.  Precinct 3 Deputies may enforce environmental laws in any county or city that is a member of the task force when such assistance is requested.
