Williamson County Constable, Precinct 1, Robert Chody

Robert Chody has been a resident of Williamson County since 1996 and has been in law enforcement since 1996. Robert served with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, The Austin Police Department and He most recently  served as a deputy constable for the Williamson County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office. Previously, Chody was in active duty in the US Army for four years and in the Texas National Guard and Kentucky National Guard for four years. Robert and Beverly have four children and are active members at Victory Baptist Church.

The Precinct 1 area of Williamson County includes the cities of Austin, Round Rock and Georgetown, Texas.  They are responsible for the service of civil process for the respective cities within the County of Williamson.  They also are tasked with the warrant service of our areas.

Robert Chody Robert Chody was elected as the Precinct 1 Constable on November 4, 2008.  He is pictured above with his wife Beverly at his swearing in ceremony on January 2, 2009.  He was sworn into office by Congressman John Carter.

Jorge Camarillo Receives Professional Leadership Award

The Williamson County Commissioners Court recognized five employees with leadership awards in honor of County Government Month.  The month is dedicated to raising public awareness and understanding about the roles and responsibilities of county government.

For the past decade, Williamson County has been the fastest growing county in Texas with a growth rate of 69%.  County employees have had to work hard to keep up with the demands of a growing population.  To honor county employees for their efforts, four awards were presented this year, with a tie in one category.  Each employee receives $500, a plaque and a traveling trophy for their department to keep for the year.  The recipients were:

Professional Leadership: Jorge Camarillo, Precinct One Constable’s Office

Project Leadership: (tie) Rebecca Clemons, Budget Office

                                        Jonathan Harris, Purchasing

Creative & Conservative Leadership: Gary Boyd, Parks and Recreation

Wellness Leadership: Beth Jones, Emergency Medical Services

Also this week, milestone awards celebrating longevity as a county employee will be presented to employees for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of service.  Four employees have reached the 30 year mark including Judge Ken Anderson, 277th District Court; Terry Finn, Road and Bridge; James Harrison, Road and Bridge; and Eugene Marak, Road and Bridge.  Six employees have reached 25 years, 16 have 20 years, 29 have 15 years, 72 have 10 years, and 111 have five years.

County employees will be treated to one of three employee luncheons on April 16 that will be held in county parks in celebration of County Government Month.  The luncheons and awards are provided for by the County Employee Fund that receives a percentage of the profit from vending machine sales in county buildings.
