Among other duties, Constables perform the following
- execute and return all processes, warrants, and precepts directed and delivered by any lawful official
- seize and sell real and personal property upon lawful order of a court, returning the proceeds according to law
- enforce all state and penal laws, arresting offenders anywhere in the state with lawful warrant, or without warrant for felonies committed in this county and all adjacent counties
- serve as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the Justice Court
In the course of providing these services, particularly in the service of court papers, every paper with erroneous or outdated information is researched, free of charge, to provide the most current location or other pertinent information.
